A massive turnout was had for the final battle of the WA drift 2009/2010 season showing things are only going to get bigger and better for 2010/2011. A total of 38 drivers turned up for the event to test their skills against the leading point scorers for the season.

Divison B was filled with excitement once again with some first time competitors showing that making the most of the practice nights is the key to success when jumping into battle situations. First place was taken out by Craig Clayton in his newly acquired S15 track car showing he has a lot of potential to improve into the top 16. Runners up for this category were Sam Teanby with second place in his borrowed Holden ute and with Ben Wilford in a R33 Skyline taking out 3rd.

In the top end of the field there were some heated battles in the lead up to the final four for division A. A big surprise was an error made by Danny Vahoumis who was equal first in the point score spinning in his first battle for the day against Carla Fry allowing Carla to get a free pass into the top 8. Meanwhile a stand out performance from Taruin Van Rooyen allowed him to take out 3rd place against James ‘Backward facing forward entries’ Brear.

There was an interesting battle for first place with Joe Waghorn in the Carine cycles sponsored S15 and Nicholas Banger Van Geest, Nicholas making a small mistake in their second battle causing his car to spin half way through the run allowing Joe to take out first place.
